Featured are characters from the film along with slogans linking the film to the new, high speed Pendolino trains. The train has certainly done its job, attracting a great deal of interest from photographers and the general public aswell as train crew, with the latter been seen on many occasions posed for pictures beside the larger than life superman images! Saturday 22 July 2006: In July 2006, Virgin Trains adorned 390029 with an impressive full length advert for the new 'Superman' film in conjunction with its ongoing 'Return of the Train' media campaign. No film is complete without a 'baddie'... The man himself... Featured all the way along are slogans related to both Superman and Virgin's Pendolino trains. Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? No, its a 125mph tilting train! Part of the extensive and ongoing 'The Return of the Train' advertising campaign which also featured the Railway Children among other stars; an advertising programme which other operators would do well to follow in the footsteps of! The customary ending of any action film...he gets his girl! Nameplate detailing... For a completely action packed train, all we need now is a combination of 'The Hood' dragging 'Superman'. Come on Virgin Control, there's ample opportunity! Set out in 2-car 'scenes', the arrangement of the vinyls follows this pattern throughout the whole train.

(Apr-'06) After a slow start, the new 'Dynamic Blocks' livery for First Capital Connect is rapidly spreading over the EMU fleet employed by said operator. 365532 illustrated here at Kings Cross.
